Installation Roles
Experienced solar PV installers and MCS-certified engineers for rooftop installation on new build residential, housing estate refurbishment and social housing programmes across the UK. All site work carried out to UK health and safety standards on every programme.
MCS Certification RequiredBESS installation technicians with experience in residential and light commercial battery systems — working alongside solar and VPP infrastructure on every SolisComm programme. Ground-level installation with a professional site team.
Electrical Background RequiredElectricians and heating engineers with experience in infrared heating systems or an interest in transitioning from gas. SolisComm programmes install low-carbon ceiling-mounted infrared heating panels in new build and refurbished homes as part of a fully integrated energy system. Training provided on SolisComm-specified systems.
Training ProvidedExperienced site supervisors and H&S leads to manage installation programmes to the highest standards — full scaffolding compliance, RAMS, method statements and site coordination across multiple properties within a programme area.
SMSTS / SSSTS RequiredApprenticeships
SolisComm apprenticeships are hands-on from day one. You will work alongside experienced installers on live programmes, learning solar PV, battery storage and low-carbon heating systems in the communities where you live and work.
We partner with local training providers to ensure every apprentice comes away with recognised qualifications alongside real site experience. Our apprenticeships are employed positions — you are part of the team from the start.
Employed from day one — a real wage, a real team, and real site experience from the start.
Recognised qualifications in solar PV, battery storage and low-carbon heating — aligned to the skills the energy sector needs.
Working in your own community — SolisComm recruits locally wherever programmes allow, so you are likely to be working near home.
A clear pathway — apprentices who complete their programme are considered for permanent employed positions within the SolisComm site team.
Why SolisComm
Consistent work, employed terms, and a team around you on every programme. No chasing invoices, no uncertain pipelines — just steady, long-term work with a growing business.
SolisComm programmes are delivered locally. You are more likely than not to be working in or near the communities you know — installing systems in homes your neighbours will live in.
The residential energy transition is accelerating. SolisComm's programme pipeline means consistent, long-term work for the people who join us — not short-term contracts that dry up.
How To Apply
Send us a message via the contact page. Tell us who you are, what you do, and which role interests you. No long application forms.
If there is a potential fit, we will call you directly — a short, informal conversation about your experience and the programmes we are running near you.
A practical assessment on site or at a training facility — focused on your skills and your approach to safe working rather than theory.
We move quickly and communicate clearly. You will always know where you stand — and if the timing is not right, we will keep your details for when a programme reaches your area.
